Salesforce Business Project Consultant (Product Manager) - Amsterdam

We are looking for a SALESFORCE consultant (Business Project Consultant and/or Product Manager) to manage the evolution of an advanced salesforce solution that will consolidate and support business throughout a global brand developing the next level of online, web, E-commerce retail consumer and commercial trading.

NOTE that this advert targets UK workers all over the UK who might consider a career changing move to the iconic city of Amsterdam. You will be joining a team developing a centralised Salesforce platform for one of the world's leading online advertising and E-commerce Groups. This is an employer of choice and a "must have on CV" in a fantastic location and you will be working on one of the hottest and technically challenging new global salesforce projects with integration to world leading E-commerce and trading Java systems.

This role is the key product evangelist for the use of & adoption of Salesforce and related business applications - helping business partners to understand how to bring process improvements and commercial growth. The ideal candidate will have proven experience delivering across the Salesforce eco-system (eg Analytics, Sales, Service, Marketing, Community and App clouds) with a Global implementation background supporting in excess of 1000 users.

This hands-on role requires a significant business process re-engineering & technical background to leverage out of the box' functionality. You need to inspire innovative solutions to complex problems. You need to be comfortable communicating with stakeholders at all levels - executive and operational level - to ensure transparency and global alignment.


Create and manage a backlog of well-formed user stories derived from business requirements and ideation for implementation by the development team

Identify opportunity for process optimisation, process redesign, or development of new process/policies to reduce cost, improve quality or drive revenue growth through new functionality

Define the product strategy in collaboration to ensure alignment on company objectives & Group vision over the long and short term; take ownership and make decisions on priorities

Assess, initiate, prioritise, refine and drive appropriate technology solutions through research across external product vendors or implementation partners; build vs buy approach

Actively involve technology, UX, business stakeholders and other disciplines early and throughout the discovery and delivery process

Proactively manage expectations of internal and external stakeholders around product roadmap, releases and priorities.

Instil and drive a culture of learning focused on the customer, understanding the importance of continuous and rapid testing, and learning; familiar with prototyping and usability techniques

Be a key member of project team meetings, communicate concisely in a technical & non-technical fashion with peers, technical architect, business analysts, project managers and key stakeholders

Foster and maintain key relationships with local business, product, and technology leaders to ensure transparency and alignment around key priorities, milestones and integrations

Liaise with Global Information Security, Finance and SOX IT compliance teams to ensure compliant change management

Act as the subject matter expert for product solutions owned by the team

Work with developers to triage and queue requests, issues, and bugs

Preferred Qualifications

Salesforce experience, certification beneficial; Sales, Service, Marketing, Community Cloud Consultant

Understanding of relational databases with strong technical & analytics skills; APEX & Visualforce experience required

Job Requirements

Demonstrated experience in a highly complex Salesforce environment

Experience working in global organisation, with remote partners; build relationships with key stakeholders and user groups

Proven experience in enterprise system implementation for a global organisation with complex business processes over multiple channels

Excellent presentation, spoken and written communication with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion

Excellent problem solving skills, able to explore underlying user problems and unidentified, long-term needs

Detail & results oriented, takes the initiative and makes things happen in a fast paced go-live environment

Ability to dissect business requirements and support the delivery of innovative, high quality solutions

Experience working from conception to delivery throughout the SDLC in both Agile and Waterfall solution delivery methods

A solid understanding of business processes

International travel will be required


The company offers an extremely attractive and highly rewarding remuneration package including various bonus and stock schemes. On top of the competitive base of around €80,000 + a 10% BONUS. The position comes with a golden introduction of shares (not share options) in the business, worth up to $25,000, as well as a benefit package.

Note that we if you are not resident in The Netherlands, then you can apply to benefit from a 30% low tax threshold.
